About Ronny Powell

Ronny Powell has over thirty years of experience in the life insurance industry. Born in Fort Myers, Florida, Ronny moved to Muscle Shoals, Alabama and has resided in Alabama ever since. Ronny graduated from Deshler High School in Tuscumbia, Alabama, attended the University of North Alabama and learned a great deal of this insurance knowledge through his studies through the American College Institute for Insurance Companies.

Initially, Ronny began working in retail but found himself drawn to his father-in-law’s career path, a fulfilling career in the life insurance industry. At age 20, Ronny began working at Liberty National Insurance. He became the youngest agent ever to lead the company nationally, at just 24. He also became the youngest agent to receive the Senior Liberty Underwriter Designation, a prestigious acknowledgement. Ronny stayed there for over 13 years and led the company nationally about eight times as an agent. In 1996 Ronny left to buy Tom Jones Insurance and formed his own wing, called Tom Jones Financial Services.

As President of Tom Jones Financial, Ronny has aligned with many insurance companies such as National Life, Life of Southwest, and Commercial Union. Tom Jones Insurance has been the leading agent nationally and the leading agency for several years, yielding a significant, positive track record for Tom Jones Insurance.

Ronny has led many companies in his lifetime and his companies have led many agencies nationwide.

Ronny has qualified for the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) many times over the years and has earned Top of the Table MDRT multiple times. Less than 1% worldwide earn Top of the Table and for that, Ronny has earned the right to become a lifetime member.

Starting his own wing in Tom Jones Insurance has allowed Ronny to spread his wings in his career. He loves the entrepreneurial aspect of his current role. Knowing that the harder he works, the more successful he can be, has been extremely motivating to him. Extremely passionate about helping his clients, Ronny always has his clients’ best interest at heart. He has a knack for aiding his clients to realize and then achieve their goals, financially. Once the goal is realized, they can then implement a plan and follow through. Ronny truly enjoys helping people protect their loved ones, grow their wealth and then protect their wealth.

In addition to his career Ronny is a devoted and loving husband and father, and a man of faith. He enjoys playing tennis and golf, supporting Alabama college football, spending time with his family and attending church.
